Past Tense

The Past Tense Suffixes are -dı, -di, -du, -dü. They depends on Vowel Harmony;

  • al (he/she took)
  • geldi (he/she came)
  • oturdu (he/she sat down)
  • gör (he/she saw)

If the last letter of the verb is a consonant and is p/ç/t/k, the suffix will be -tı, -ti, -tu, -tü.

  • yap (he/she did/made)
  • gitti (he/she went)
  • tuttu (he/she kept)
  • ölç (he/she measured)

-m is suffix for ben(I);

  • yapm (I did/made)
  • yedim (I ate)
  • verdim (I gave)
  • dedim (I said)

-n is suffix for sen(you);

  • yapn (you did/made)
  • yedin (you ate)
  • verdin (you gave)
  • dedin (you said)

-k is suffix for biz(we);

  • yapk (we did/made)
  • yedik (we ate)
  • verdik (we gave)
  • dedik (we said)

-nız, -niz, -nuz, -nüz, is suffix for siz(you (plural));

  • yapnız (you did/made)
  • yediniz (you ate)
  • verdiniz (you gave)
  • dediniz (you said)
